The Red Tide outbreak is causing even more problems.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has limited snook, redfish and spotted seatrout fishing to catch-and-release only in Pinellas and Hillsborough waters starting Friday through Sept. 16.

The restrictions will apply to these areas:

  • All Florida waters off the coast of Pinellas County, excluding the Anclote River and its tributaries.
  • All waters off the coast of Hillsborough County.
  • All waters off the coast of Manatee County north of State Road 64, including the Braden River and all tributaries of the Manatee River. The waters of Palma Sola Bay are excluded from the state order.
