Local ICU beds filling with covid cases, again

This is the latest data (7/19) of the occupancy of some local hospitals’ ICU’s.
Notice some Florida hospitals ICUs are nearly full and the majority of cases are COVID.

Morton Plant is 85% full, around half of the cases are covid.

Bayfront is 99% full with most being covid cases.

Lakeland Regional has 51 covid patients right now.

Tampa General has 32 covid patients.

About one in 9 U.S. hospitals with intensive care units, or 339 total hospitals, recently reported that at least 95 percent of their I.C.U. beds were full. In the week ending July 15, an average of 70 percent of intensive care hospital beds were occupied nationwide, according to a dataset released weekly by the Department of Health and Human Services.
